Scenic Glass Lift Installation at Bedelsford special school in Kingston on Thames, Surrey. Situated in its own watertight steel structure on the outside of the building, 1st a pit needed to be excavated before the steel structure could be tied into the building which was then made watertight before knocking through what was the headteacher’s office to install the door entrances to access the new external lift shaft. Everything had to line up perfectly with zero margin for error on the knock-through. Team MV has done an amazing job on this premium glass lift installation.
Bedelsford is a special school for children with physical disabilities, also for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties, many of the pupils have CLDD (complex learning difficulties and disabilities). Tight deadlines had to be adhered to, to ensure completion during the school holidays.
